On a table, an arrangement of 3-5 candleholders is more interesting than an even number.
This arrangement uses shiny brass candleholders, fall colored candles, and plaid wired ribbon in fall colors.
Tie the ribbons directly to the candlesticks. This idea can also be used on a side table, mantlepiece, or a coffee table. Set the candlesticks on a tray and arrange fall leaves underneath. Tuck in acorns or berries if you wish.
To make this pretty candle arrangement, you'll need:
- candle holders
- candles in fall colors
- ribbon to make bows
- fall leaves or acorns(optional)
Follow these simple instructions:
- Polish and clean your best candleholders. They don't need to match. Using a variety of styles and heights will add interest to your arrangement.
- Choose candles to compliment your tableware or decorating theme, and have enough on hand to refresh them after holiday parties.
- Add bows to the candlesticks, either by tying them on or wiring. Using wired ribbon will allow you to arrange the bows neatly and keep them for other years.
- Arrange colorful fall leaves around the base of the candle holders.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
- Freeze your candles before using so they'll last longer
- Buy dripless candles whenever possible, so the melting wax doesn't ruin the ribbons.
- Keep the ribbons away from the flame!
