The covered back porch is off the main living area and was designed to take advantage of the lagoon view. The entire living area and porch are on the second level which gives a feeling of being in a tree house. The stairs leading to the porch was built in to the sea oaks and was designed with several graduated landings minimizing the need for long stair ways and nestling the second floor to the ground. The back railing was set down one level to keep it from closing in the porch and obstructing the view.
