Collect the things listed to get started on your Halloween Witch Wreath.
- 20" grapevine wreath (purchased from a craft store or homemade)
- 2 large branches of artificial leaves in fall colors
- Wire cutters (to cut the leaves off the stems)
- A cute or wicked witch figure about 10" tall
- Wire to hang the Halloween Witch Wreath when you're done
Here's how to put together this fun Halloween decoration.
- Cover your work table or counter with plastic or an old sheet.
- Cut the leaves off the branches, leaving about 4" of stem on each set of leaves.
- Carefully tuck the stems of leaves into the grapevine wreath form, making sure the stems do not stick out the side or back of the wreath.
- Using the wire, secure the witch figure onto the wreath, making sure that the figure does not flop down the backside.
- Make a wire loop at the top of the wreath using about 10" of wire.
- Find a great place to hang your Halloween Witch Wreath to give the most pleasure.
Here are some suggestions to fine-tune your Halloween Witch Wreath.
- Choose a wreath that has a good round or oval shape. Decide which side will be the top and arrange the leaves to look full.
- Space the leaves around the sides, both inside and outside, and on the face of the wreath.
- You can use a glue gun to attach the leaves if you wish.
- Position the witch so she's sitting in the center of the wreath, if you can.
- If you can't find a witch figure, how about a pumpkin or bats? Anything along the Halloween theme will work.
This cute decoration is inexpensive and so simple, there's no excuse not to welcome your "Trick-or-Treaters" with this fun Halloween Witch Wreath.
