The house's setting gives it spectacular views, beautiful covered patios, and amazing natural outdoor space. The home now has a 5-car garage, a luxurious home spa, and a modern laundry room.
In 1925, three years after the construction was completed, the home won the World Prize in Residential Architecture at the International Exposition of Architecture and Fine Arts in New York. The architect, Henry Harwood Hewitt, went on to design many more landmark buildings in southern California, including the Los Angeles Civic Center, City Hall, Hall of Justice, and other civic buildings.
This wonderful California home is open to the public for the 2008 Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts.
