The Philharmonic Society of Orange County, California, raises funds annually for Youth Music Education Programs through its House of Design. The 2008 house is located in Newport Coast in a gated community overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The 8500 square foot new house chosen for 2008 was built by Stonefield Development and includes a cooperation between the Philharmonic Society and the American Society of Interior Designers/ Orange County Chapter.
Breathtaking views of the coast can be seen from almost every room of this formal Spanish Mediterranean style home. Interior designers have beautified 23 interior spaces and the grounds include a complete outdoor kitchen and infinity pool.
Included in a visit to the House of Design includes is the "Unique Boutique," an array of exclusive retail vendors, and the Cafe with catering by Jay's. Designers lecture on selected days.
