Ayesha Curry is a modern Renaissance woman: she's a renowned restaurateur, chef, two-time New York Times bestselling author, and entrepreneur. And with a busy schedule like hers, curating a space to comfortably spend time with family and friends has never been more important.

Curry partnered with Pottery Barn to bring her vision of a family space to life. Her San Francisco condo is a warm and welcoming space filled with comfortable accents from the living room sectional and boucle chairs to the upholstered bed frame in the bedroom—the curated selection from Pottery Barn ties it all together.

“I feel like there’s a story to be told throughout all of the rooms, but I love how each space is still uniquely its own,” Curry tells The Spruce. “Somehow all comes together seamlessly and feels cohesive.”

Warm, Welcoming, Livable Luxury

The condo is modern and minimalist without sacrificing the family atmosphere; warm tones throughout the space bring a cozy and elevated atmosphere that perfectly transitions from family game nights to hosting friends, and the living room and kitchen encompass this.

"I love a clean, modern space but when it’s for the family it also has to be comfortable and inviting," Curry says. "The living room and kitchen tend to be the two most high-traffic areas in our home so having a ton of seating is key. We achieved that with the oversized sectional and the gorgeous chairs that tuck into the kitchen island."

Keeping the location in mind, Curry was intentional about the colors throughout her home by using a bright, neutral palette to make the most of natural light when San Francisco's weather makes the outdoors gray.

The living room's white walls and light brown wood brighten up the space while the deep brown sectional serves as a focal point and central gathering space for the room. While the inclusion of the boucle chairs and the design of the end tables and lamps elevate the space, cozy accents like pillows and throw blankets really make this luxurious room feel family-friendly.

Curry certainly didn't skimp on style for the sake of function. The dining room features a long, traditional farmhouse-style table with more modern chairs, creating an atmosphere that feels like this is actually a place to eat meals with a family or entertain guests.

Even the bedroom is elevated but not so much that it feels uninviting. The neutral colors make the room the perfect space to unwind and leave the stress of your day behind, and it's Curry's favorite room in the condo.

"I love the bedroom. It’s hard to walk into the room without wanting to dive into the big, oversized bed. I also love the little reading nook next to the window," she says.

Details down to the books on the nightstand contribute to the overall calming feel of the room's monochrome color scheme. The personalized touch of a framed selfie of Curry and her husband, the basketball player Steph Curry, is particularly adorable and makes the room feel even more lived-in and natural.

Who wouldn't feel relaxed in a home like this? Pottery Barn really brought Curry's vision to life and created a delightful oasis for unwinding with the family and entertaining friends, while still looking luxurious.

"I wanted this to be a nice, zen moment amongst the chaos of the city and I really think we achieved it," Curry says.
