This couch has a kiln-dried hardwood frame, which enhances its durability and helps prevent warping and cracking. The legs also have adjustable levelers to ensure stability on uneven floors. As for the cushions, no-sag springs are wrapped in supportive foam and surrounded by a down blend fill.

Since this sofa is made to order, it'll take at least a few weeks to ship out. Also, like most other made-to-order products from Pottery Barn, it's not eligible for returns—but you can order leather swatches first to ensure it'll complement your space. After trying out this sofa firsthand, we were thoroughly impressed—not only with its modern, versatile appearance but also just how comfortable it was. This sofa was made for relaxing and naps.

It's sturdy enough to hold up to 1,200 pounds of weight, and two adults, a kid, and a dog all fit pleasantly. There are two different leather options: caramel brown and sienna, a lighter shade akin to a perfectly roasted marshmallow. It's made with top-grain leather, which does show some scuffs and marks, but we found it added to the patina (and that's to be expected).

We did have some issues with delivery, so we recommend you have a friend, partner, or neighbor around to help you once it arrives. It comes in one box, which ideally would be two boxes since the protective packaging around each piece is so heavy. However, once you get the pieces unwrapped, they are relatively lightweight to carry, so if you have to go up a flight (or two) of stairs, it's not the end of the world. Plus, we were able to set it up in just 10 minutes.
