Bright Black is a family-owned and founded company based out of Durham, North Carolina. The founders, Tiffany and Dariel, shared a love of candle-making throughout their relationship that blossomed into Bright Black which they now run with their young daughter Elena.

“Our company uses scent as a medium and candles as a platform for sharing positive narratives about Blackness,” says the Bright Black website.

Their candles are made with a high-quality coconut and soy wax blend along with wooden wicks for a clean burn, and their scents are custom-blended by Tiffany—which means you literally won’t find them anywhere else.

Founded by 17-year old Kobi Gregory in 2020 as a way to cope with the stress of long-distance learning, Kobi Co. aims to create a truly immersive sensory experience by combining scent and sound. Each candle comes with a curated playlist to help set the vibe and create a relaxing self-care experience.

Founded in 2019 by Mya Sinquefield, A Predominantly Black Candle Haus is a handmade home and body fragrance house located in Los Angeles, California.
