Red ribbon bows, over 150 in all, were hot-glued to the four posts of this metal etagere. While not a project for fine furniture, it is a unique custom touch for an inexpensive item. Not sure you want to hot glue bows? Try wrapping the posts, candy-cane style, or edging each shelf with with lengths of ribbon, artificial silk ivy, or strands of beads or tassels. These can be wired or tied on, or hot glued here and there to keep everything in place.
