Online Reprints (websites, email newsletters):
To request permission to reprint an article from this site, you'll need to first email the Guide with the information listed below. Include the website address where the online reprint will be posted. Once this information is received, we will forward your request to About's Reprints Department for approvals and permission forms. They will contact you directly and will let you know when you have completed the process and are free to reprint.

Offline Reprints (newspapers, magazines):
To request permission to reprint an article from this site, you'll need to first email the Guide with the information listed below. Include the name of the publication where the article will be reprinted. Once this information is received, we will email you a Word document with an Agreement that spells out the terms and conditions of the reprint permission, attribution requirements, and the like. You'll need to print, sign, and return this document by mail to the address listed in the form.

Include the following information in your email request:

-- Your name, title, and full contact information (name, address, phone, fax)

-- name of the publication or website where the material will be reprinted

-- About's article name and pages
   (example: "Windowcovering Basics" -- page 1)

-- The exact URL of the About.com page you wish to reprint
   (example: http://interiordec.about.com/library/weekly/aa021901a.htm

-- Dates when it will be published (and how long it may be available)

-- Whether you are requesting text only, or text with photos
   (Please note that many photographs on this site are from vendors, and we have no authority to grant their further use on another site.)

-- Online Reprints: Name and URL of website where article will be posted.

-- Offline Reprints: Name and type of publication where article will be reprinted, circulation, and frequency.
