A traditional round bouquet

A handful of roses , a few sprigs of greenery, and a round fishbowl vase are all you'll need to make this easy arrangement.

Cutting rose stems underwater (in a sink or bowl) will assure that they begin drinking right away and avoid any wilting problems due to air bubbles in the stalk.

Choose a rose color that will compliment your tablesetting. Add one or two other types of flowers for added fullness and color. See a list of materials and the step-by-step photos for this centerpiece
Rose Vase Arrangement

  • A dozen roses
  • Clear fishbowl vase
  • 10 leather leaf
  • 3 stems lemon leaf (optional)
  • 4-6 stems alstromeria (optional)

Fill the fishbowl vase with water.

Wash leather leaf, making sure stems are clean. Clip to proper length. Insert stems into the vase, making a criss-cross of stems.

Next cut roses so the stems are about 8" long. Insert several stems around the rim of the vase, then add more standing up in the center.

Add other greens and filler flowers if desired.

Tip: Change the water daily so it remains crystal clear.
