Designer Jessie Davidson has carved a little slice of heaven in a small dressing area near the Lady's Master Bedroom in the 2003 Lake Forest Showcase House and Gardens. Filled with light and subtle color, it's a space that any woman would enjoy.
On entering the narrow room one is immediately taken by the details Davidson added on the back of the chair. Three fabric bows and a scalloped hem add charm where it's least expected, but can be most appreciated.

In front of the window a glorious vanity table sits to take in a view of manicured lawns and mature trees. Looking up we see a robin's egg blue ceiling and diminutive crystal chandelier. Under our toes is a wood floor that's been decoratively painted to coordiate with the upholstery fabric.
The long sweep of ivory draperies are punctuated with a deep hem blue, bringing our eyes back to that delicious chair.
