Fill gaps with greens
Use your greens to fill in the edges of the basket and between the vegetables. Here we used kale leaves, but longer lasting fillers would be evergreen sprigs (such as cedar), preserved leaves, gray or green moss, or even shredded craft straw.

Focal point
Use one bright mini-pumpkin on the top of the arrangement.

Garnish
Here we're adding small branches of fresh herbs. These add texture and fragrance. No herbs? Use a second type of evergreen or a few fall leaves instead.

Finished arrangement
Here's a look a the finished centerpiece on the table. (Click on the photo to see a bigger picture.)

Tip: Match your candles to one of the colors in the centerpiece. Green, tan, burgundy, or orange would work with this arrangement.
