Small Pumpkins
Small pumpkins can be added to many sizes of arrangements. This one is a sugar pumpkin from the grocery store.

Tip: Save some uncut pumpkins from Halloween to decorate your home untl Thanksgiving.

Mini Pumpkins
Mini pumpkins generally last several weeks. Be sure to check them periodically. Throw out any that become soft.

Tip: When placing mini-pumpkins on a wood surface (such as a table or mantle), be sure to set them on top of small circles of heavy clear plastic.

Dried Corn
Dried corn can be found in a variety of colors, from light yellow to deep russet, and in large and small (mini) sizes.

Tip: Dried corn can be saved and reused from year to year if kept in a dry area, inside a sealed plastic storage box.

Onions and Potatoes
You probably have some in your kitchen right now. Use them in a centerpiece for a week or two, then add them to your next soup recipe.

Apples
This fall fruit comes in many shades of red, yellow, and green. Choose your favorite color, or just use what you have in the pantry.

Greenery
Using greens between the items in your centerpiece will bring varied item "together". Fresh, preserved or even silk evergreens or leaves will be longest lasting. (Here kale is shown, but it generally lasts only a day before wilting.)

Tip: Substitute shredded straw, Spanish moss, or moist sheet moss if desired.

Rosemary and Herbs
Several sprigs of fresh rosemary can be used to accent an arrangement. They add a wonderful herb aroma to the room, so you may not want herb arrangements on a dessert table.
