Sometimes you have only small bits of greenery left from making a wreath or decorating a mantle. This arrangement can turn these leftover pieces into a real focal point.

Set a piller candle on a platter or tray, then begin adding your greenery. This base is the perfect place to showcase tiny ornaments, natural pinecones, little candles, and other decorations. Finish off with a bow, then set on a table or use for a fast centerpiece. As the greenery is not in water, it may only last several days.

Use the greenery to fill in around the candle. Use several types of greenery for interest, keeping the stems pointed toward the center of the platter, and disguising them within the layers of greens. Set small ornaments or pine cones on top of the greens. Add a colorful bow.
