Details Make the DifferenceAdd designer touches to holiday decorating by adding the details -- extra touches to give each decoration a finished look. . Here's how to incorporate more details in your holiday decorations. Embellish - On a mantle filled with holiday candles and pine boughs, add finishing touches of berry sprigs, mini lights, and velvet bows. Gift Tag Ornaments - Tie a personalized ornament onto a gift instead of a paper tag. Napkin Decorations - Stick a sprig of cedar and a few tiny pinecones into a napkin ring. Garlands - Use garlands on your holiday tree then drape another across a mantle or down your dining room table on top of the holiday greenery. Bows - Garnish plain candlesticks with holiday bows. Set a candlestick grouping on a silver tray and surround with pine boughs and/or artificial snow.
Holiday Nosegays - Add a finishing touch to your holiday tree with holiday nosegays or "bunches". These fill in larger areas between branches, add color, and provide touches of texture. Some ideas include: nosegays of silk flowers, handfuls of leaves and pine cones, spray painted twigs, wheat bundles tied with raffia, berry sprigs, baskets filled with candy. See more nosegay ideas here.
