For those of you who haven't heard the news yet, hold on to your hats! Pantone has just announced it's color of the year for 2012. It's vivacious, it's exciting, it's a little bit juicy, it's...wait for it...Tangerine Tango!
"Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy."
So the question is, what does everyone think? Do we like? Do we hate? Personally, I'm pretty sure I like. My bedroom drapes are in this color! That said, it's the kind of color I don't want too much of. Some window treatments, some pillows, maybe an ottoman - that's enough for me. But what about you? Do tell!
