The kids aren't the only ones who have to go back to school this fall. Teachers are grabbing their book bags, preparing their lesson plans and getting ready to return to the classroom. And thanks to TeachersCount, (a non-profit organization that provides resources to the education community) and Staples, teachers from five schools around the USA will be going back to brand new teacher's lounges.
Under Brian Patrick Flynn, creator of the online design series Décor Demon, the selected schools will get total decorative overhauls of their lounges. The makeovers are part of a national initiative TeachersCount is coordinating with Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society for teachers. KDP is providing volunteers - all teachers in the making - to donate their time and assist with the makeover project.
All in all it's a great community project that shows some of the hardest working people in education some much needed respect and appreciation. And the designs are pretty great to boot!
