Make Your Home More Welcoming for Holiday Guests

If you think you can't entertain during the holidays because you just don't have time to clean the house, paint the door, decorate the Christmas tree, bake cookies, and buy gifts for everyone, think again.

With very little effort, you can put yourself in the place of your guests and think about the most important chores to do. When you walk into a friend's home, do you look at every nook and cranny for dust and decorations? For me, the holidays are about visiting with loved ones and friends. It's not a contest to see who can make the most impressive presentation. Read our brief list of things to do to welcome your guests. Sweep or shovel the walkway, get rid of cobwebs, light candles, and settle down for a wonderful visit.
