Dress Up Your Fall Candles

Sunday November 5, 2006
You don't have to go to a lot of trouble to make some decorations for your Thanksgiving table. Gather together some gourds, pumpkins, or Thanksgiving objects and cluster them together with seasonal candles.

For a special touch, select some wired French ribbon to tie onto the candlesticks. They'll look festive and tie the elements together.

For simple directions on putting together this table decor, read our article about adding bows to candlesticks. It's a technique you can use for other holidays as well. It's not too early to start your planning.

I love the look the bows make on the tapers and candlestick holders. I have always loved the idea of mixing and matching different patterns with the dishes, candleholders and bowls so this works along the same lines. It gets my mind thinking about all the different holiday themes possible!
